Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War PlayStation 2 Review

Excerpt: It's not uncommon for console gamers to see a series of ridiculous and half-baked sequels, but the "Ace Combat" series has not only remained strong, it's managed to fight off imitators with a steady supply of charm and improvements.
Excerpt: Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War brings us the same great action we've come to expect from the franchise. If blowing things up in a jet and really gorgeous visuals are for you, but you can't be bothered with the details of true flight sims, then the Ace Combat games are ideal.
Conclusion: This is more or less Ace Combat 4 with a few slight upgrades and gameplay honed to near-perfection, but the formula's just a bit too familiar, and the lengthy missions may turn less patient gamers off before the story can suck them in.
Summary: The Saboteur verdient sich vielleicht nicht eine bahnbrechende Spitzenwertung oder den Titel zum Spiel das Jahres, dennoch vermochte mich das Spiel innert kürzester Zeit in seinen Bann zu ziehen.
