Summary: I did not know what to expect when I bought Y's Memories of Celceta but let me tell you this game is just perfect. The great story, fantastic music, flawless gameplay, and great graphics just make it a must own game. The collector's/silver anniversary edition has a really cool map (don't know what the material is) and a journal which is a like a semi-guidebook.
Summary: If you can get the special edition GET IT its totally worth it just for the soundtrack. The story is nothing to write home about, just your standard rpg story but the gameplay and soundtrack (and its light-heartedness) is what carries this game.
Summary: This game is AWESOME. The best way to encapsulate it is this: remember Zelda: Ocarina of Time? Transplant its dungeons and item attainment with a hack-and-slash staple like DmC, and sprinkle on some JRPG character progression, and you've got one of the finest, most enjoyable portal experiences ever. Seriously, it was worth getting a Vita just to play this game.
Summary: The Good: Fantastic combat and exploration, engaging story, lots of stuff to do, varied environments and enemies The Bad: Awful voice acting, dated graphics, uninteresting characters, doesn’t do anything new for JRPGs I have never been much into Ys but I have played past games. Memories of Celceta is the biggest Ys yet and the best traditional JRPG available on Vita right now.
Summary: Sometimes, we need to explore and try other games. Outside the circle of well known games such as Final Fantasy, Super Mario, Resident Evil, etc.. There are gems like this one that sometimes are way better or equally on par versus the more famous game titles. Ys series is often compared to Zelda series due to some similarities (explore a new world, become the chosen one to beat the big bad boss). Zelda series I know is good but it didn't stick to me.
