Summary: When I first picked up my vita over a month ago, I instantly downloaded the demo for Unit 13. While I thought the demo was good, I was sure it would be way better when the full version released. Well, it wasn't. It played exactly like the demo which isn't bad, it just could've been better. The gunplay is great, the graphics are incredible for a handheld, and the whole idea of the "mobile gaming" was a good one. That being said, there were some issues.
Summary: The gameplay offered by Unit 13 is good for the vita itself but has some major flaws. The music feels repetive of Golden Eye, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. The actual shooting style reminds me of Metal Gear 4 or Rainbow Six. A flaw, for example, would be the inability to shoot from a ladder which ultimately makes the stealth much harder than it had to be. With my favorite third-person series being Gears of War and Army of Two, I was hoping for a storyline.
Summary: Unit 13 is a third person shooter for the Vita that is made by the developers of SOCOM (which I have not played). When the Vita was announced and they said about how the system is going to have to analog sticks I immediately thought "yes, there is finally a handheld system that can play shooter properly". Unit 13 is the first fledged third person shooter for the Vita and it is definitely a fun and addicting game.
Summary: Unit 13 is a great game for any gamer. It has amazing graphics, competitive leader boards, co-op game-play (microphone compatible), you can choose how you wanna play by picking from 6 different characters who each specialize in a different skill.
Summary: The PS Vita really struggles to run this game, no joke. Since having this game my Vita has started freezing randomly when I leave the game idle in the background, it's really annoying having to restart your system twice a day, the graphics are actually really good if you take into account lighting and shadowing it's not perfectly textured but I understand why.
Summary: Zipper has gone off the deep end; They screwed over MAG, (little to no advertising, patch 1.03, the freezing, the slow but steady influx of lag, the freezing again, random bullet spread was a gem, the party system, the explicitly promised but never arrived clan battle system, the too little too late DLC, the Interdiction DLC disaster, the PS Move knifing retardation, the THIS AND THAT AND THIS AND THAT AND AUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Summary: The demo freeze anyone elses Vita? Had to do a reboot to bring her back, then promptly deleted it. You were being nice by saying the graphics were bland, they're near PSP quality. AI is frustratingly bad and unrealistic. You can pump 6 bullets into then without a reaction. I do like the focus of short set boards, but the forced gameplay variation coupled with the medicre mechanics and detail don't make up for it.
