Summary: This game is very addictive with it's starting intro and the way it sucks you into the gameplay there after. The story begins with you watching as a new sorcerer, after reading a certain book, is killed by the hands of a more demented sorcerer to whom has destroyed the inhabitants around him. That is when the book falls under your characters possession.
Summary: game is just OK. graphics are nothing special, environments and enemies are reused constantly. spells are just reskinned versions of eachother to simulate depth.... gameplay is fun with 3 other people, but the game wears thin pretty fast. i was hoping for a monster hunter style game out of soul sacrifice, but what i got was a game that is fairly fun for the first 5-8 hours and then is just a repetitive slog after that.
Summary: I really wanted to love this game. I put about 12 hours into the demo and had a blast. When the game finally released, I was happy to get it day one, but a couple of days into the game, I discovered that the demo was all the game had to offer from the single player perspective - that is, the mechanics and elements never veer from the pattern. The multi-player elements make this game really interesting.
Summary: In this review I will be comparing some of this game's components to Monster Hunter quite a bit as it is similar (not a clone) but something I can address several issues with and have a means of comparison for the readers like Raisin Bran between differing brands. Witcher 2, Uncharted Golden Abyss, Chrono Trigger, Dark Souls, and even Secret of Evermore will also be present to compare other individual components of the game.
Summary: The game is very fun and am enjoying it but careful when buying it I don't know if I was just unlucky or what but the code I got was invalid so I have to buy a online pass through Sony store now.
Summary: Even with its stunning visuals and interesting story Soul Sacrifice is ridiculously boring! The gameplay is repetitive and the controls are not well explained and hard to understand. It is classed as an RPG but as far as I can tell there is no actual role playing evolved. The game consists of talking to a book and slapping monsters until the game indicates that you are done with a boring cutscene. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!
