Good for JRPG fans

Griffin Burrows, Amazon
7 June 2014
  • Summary: It's a great game for JRPG fans. I should note that this is referred to as a "rogue game". You should read about rogue games on wikipedia because they have a certain style of gameplay that will not appeal to everyone. I personally enjoyed it and I think you should try it.

User Review

Fairy, Metacritic

  • Summary: It's lighthearted enjoyable Rougelike turn based RPG which is very easy. The joy is in upgrading all your equipment. There are many in the game and there's a trophy to upgrade them all to the highest level. It's very easy to upgrade though, when you are at the right place. The graphics are what I like too. It's one of the few games I replied and aim to plat.

  • Summary: I have to say that I was surprised by what the limited edition came with. I was not expecting the bib and plate with spoon.

Could Have Been Great- Frustrating. Dying resets your Level to 1.

Mali, Amazon
7 April 2014
  • Summary: I ordered myself this Limited Edition because it was only slightly more than the regular just the game version, and it comes with some bizarre little items. A mini bib, a mini spoon, and a mini plate. When I first started this game, I loved it. The tutorial level makes you think that the gameplay might require zig-zagging and limited movement, but it is actually pretty free roam.

Not bad

Jamie, Amazon
26 February 2014
  • Summary: A good game to pick up and play on the Vita. A lot of grinding if you want all the trophies and some bs deaths/loss of items. The dungeons can get a little repetitive and boring if you're over leveled. I haven't stopped playing though and it's been a few months, so that's got to say something about either the game's level of fun or my mental state.

A Traditional Roguelike Remixed

Lisa J. Wright, Amazon
23 February 2014
  • Summary: The localization from Aksys is universally lauded, but I feel the gameplay gets a bum rap. I love how holistic the game elements are (curry crafting is a bit left field, if unobtrusive and an enjoyable resource management mechanic)--for example, perhaps more than half of in-game items carry crafting traits.

Special curry cost

Justin Schroll, Amazon
21 February 2014
  • Summary: Very strange special edition including a plate and a bib. A very strange but fun dungeon crawling RPG that may not be for everyone but it is very fun.
