Summary: The Good: Great graphics, all of the quality from past games is retained, new costume abilities are fun, Sly’s ancestors are great characters The Bad: Almost everything else is exactly the same as previous games, less clever dialog leads to eye rolls, extremely long load times, boring mini games, occasional slow down The Sly series was one of the best on PS2. It was original, artsy, had slick controls, and clever humor that you could only find on Sony’s consoles.
Summary: I'll readily admit that I've never played a Sly game before this one. (GASP!) I picked it up because I was in a between-game-lull with my Vita and the demo seemed promising. The controls take some getting used to, but once you know what you're doing I felt that it was mostly intuitive. The whole X+O to interact with objects does seem a little odd, though. Otherwise, the graphics, story and gameplay are pretty average.
Summary: This game is pretty fun. Follows the same formula as the previous games, has effective stealth elements, has a decent gameplay length and has soooo much colour in it. I nearly forgot what colour looked like in a game. Bad bits are there are so many mini games it gets a bit tedious, and the final boss is a giant Quick time event. Which was a wee bit of a let down but still oddly satisfying and tension filled. One to pick up if you're a fan of platformers.
