Pretty Bad 3DS Port
7 October 2013
Summary: As others have mentioned this is a 3DS port of the lego game, unfortunately there was no effort made to make it look good on the vita. Even if they didn't rework the whole game the cut scenes could have been re-rendered in a higher resolution. It looks bad, it looks cheap and it is distracting to the point of making the game not very fun.
Summary: Shrunken down linear adventure version of a game that should have been the open world experience that the console version had. They kept the details about the vita gameplay quiet until it released, the vita is the only handheld out there that could have handled the full game and Sony fumbled a chance to have their new system show off above the competition.
shameless false advertisng!! no open world, no vehicles, substandard graphics

Summary: You know that game you've been seeing great reviews for on IGN, Gametrailers, etc? The one with the awesome open world & vehicles & discovery out the wazoo? Well, this is not that game, but they want you to think it is. That's why you wont find info about the difference in versions anywhere, not in the reviews and not on any of the ads. Only place you'll get this info is from other gamers who were already swindled like this.
Summary: I intially played the demo for this game on the Nintendo 3DS and stupidly assumed it would be even better on Playstation Vita. Boy, was I wrong. First up, the cutscenes are blurry. Last up, the cutscenes are blurry. What century are we living in? You could go back and watch cutscenes from NES and they are at least FOCUSED. It made me so angry that I had wasted $40 on the game and couldn't return it. There were so many other Vita games I could have gotten.
Summary: First let me say I gave the game a 3 for fun and a 1 for overall score why? because for someone who is unaware of the 3ds port mostly children/uniformed casual gamers will somewhat enjoy it, it's a lego game with the same formula as previous lego games. But here is why to me after playing the game myself that this game warrant's a 1 star. 1. 3ds port!
Summary: I can't believe telltales games is releasing the game like this on the vita, I've been waiting for this game to come out and then I learn that it's only a 3ds port! Still they ask 40 bucks out of this, no less, even on the PS store. The hardware is way more than capable for handling this kind of game, anyone that has seen uncharted or wipeout knows it, there's even already an open world game like gravity rush that works beautifully, however they instead remove the...
Summary: so the Vita can play full ps3 games right? maybe not... This game is all around disappointing. I can live without the open world, but the shorter levels are ridiculous. If you do pick up the console version you will see the difference immediately. Open world aside, the levels and details are amazing in the console version (not on the Vita).
Summary: I bought this game expecting it to be like Amazon explains... Explore all of Gotham City in the Batmobile, Batwing and more! It s NOT like that at all! Its a port of the 3DS version.... the cut scenes are so low in quality you cant tell what's going on, there is NO free roam or multiplayer, and the game play is so terrible I had to buy the PC version out of rage just so I could play it normally!
Summary: it didnt arrive, i ended up with the normal edition... so how can amazon ask me "how did this item meet your expectations?" i guess the answer is, it didnt! i ordered the lex luthor toy edition but after 2 weeks and emails to the company and amazon i ended up with the normal game. could have easily popped to tesco and bought it, so much for the convenience of online shopping...
Summary: the Vita version is a NDS port and it's beyond rubbish. you can search "lego batman 2 vita" on youtube, or go to IGN and check their review for the 3DS/vita version. also all the CG cutscenes are extremely low resolution and pixelated, how lazy could a company be when they don't even bother to encode the CG cutscenes in high definition. AVOID and wait for the price drop, it won't be long.
