Summary: With the exception of The Vita version of Wipeout, I think this game might be the best racer on the platform. The graphics aren't super great, but the screen isn't cluttered with text and graphics which require the player to squint either (NFS: Most Wanted, I'm looking at you when I say that). I find the sound of the "Nitro" to be really annoying, but asside from that and the graphics, I don't have any other gripes.
Summary: I am not sure why professional reviewers have given this game a mediocre review. Those reviews made me hesitate before purchasing this game. I got kind of bored with the other games that I have, and I decided to read the review for Asphalt on amazon, after doing so I decided to take a chance and hopefully treat myself. The game is a good game, some of the races are on the easy side (that is fine) but some are more challenging.
Summary: Ok, so I picked this game up because of the fact that I wanted an 'infrastructure' online game for my Vita. I didn't want to get Dungeon Hunter because I've been there done that before. So I opted for the 'arcadey' racing game, and boy am I glad I did. I can't put this game down, it's always, 'ahhh just one more race', repeat, repeat, repeat!! So where do I start?
Summary: Well, this is indeed a fun game. This is not a simulator (like Forza or Gran Turismo) but is more like a mix between Ridge Racer, Burnout and Need for Speed, and it's tons of fun, it doesn't have like a story mode like Need for Speed but it has plenty of modes to keep you busy and the cars are cool to look at and drive, graphics are not awesome but look good enough, it runs smoothly and action feels awesome, there are plenty of scenarios and a lot to unlock, so bottom...
Summary: I'm not sure why the 'professional' reviewers rated this game so poorly, but this game is definitely deserves a much higher score than 49 out of 100. There are definitely flaws in the game, such as inconsistent (some say simplistic) graphics/visual, cars feeling relatively similar, and lack of a plot, but all things considered, the gameplay and variety are solid enough for me.
Summary: Not really a simulator but a lot of fun for some crazy driving. Lots of extras and power ups to keep the race interesting. The graphics are fantastically beautiful and smooth as butter. For a launch title it's well above the norm.
