Summary: I hesitated to purchase this game because as a PS3, Wii, Wii U, and Xbox 360, and Nintendo 3DS XL owner, I find that I overcorrect on all racing games using the joystick/controller. The Wii has a horrible driving wheel, but the Xbox 360 is way better. So I was hesitant to even try this game, but since it came with a free demo and I love racing games...well....
Summary: With the exception of The Vita version of Wipeout, I think this game might be the best racer on the platform. The graphics aren't super great, but the screen isn't cluttered with text and graphics which require the player to squint either (NFS: Most Wanted, I'm looking at you when I say that). I find the sound of the "Nitro" to be really annoying, but asside from that and the graphics, I don't have any other gripes.
A little overpriced for a mobile phone and tablet port

Summary: Asphalt is normally 99cents for phones and tablets. This is $30! Asphalt 8 on mobile devices makes this game look like crap and it's 99cents! This game isn't bad it's just hard to stomach a mobile phone game that's normally 99cents for $30.! If you want to play asphalt get out your phone and buy it. It's actually a really good game. especially asphalt 8! This game does not belong on vita though.
Summary: Controlling the car with the analog stick is terrible but once you turn on the motion sensors the game becomes playable, and more importantly FUN. Graphics are nice too, but better textures would be welcome.
Summary: had Asphalt on the 3DS and thoroughly enjoyed it (in spite of all the flaws that most reviewers complain of). It was natural to me that I get this one as well. While I'm aware that there are mobile phone versions of Asphalt, I don't like using controls with the accelerometer or touch screen with racing games.
