Perfect compliment to the Olympic games

  • Excerpt: When I got my first look at Sydney 2000 I instantly thought it was nowhere near as good as Track & Field or Track & Field 2. The graphics are quite poor and the events didn't look particularly good. But playing the game against friends using my multitap made the game very fun and quite addictive.
  • Pros: Olympic mode  -  spend a long time training before you win the gold
  • Cons: Graphics aren't as good as Track & Field 2

  • Excerpt: Home from the shops, with a glistening case in my hand, I rushingly pull out my playstation, and whack on the power button. To be greeted by a simple interface that is Sydney 2000.
  • Pros: Fun, friendly, graphically good and great sounds .
  • Cons: Repetitive, and painful !

  • Excerpt: Another Olympics game takes the plunge in my reviewing and this time its a good opinion! Eidos took control of this Olympic event and unlike Konami with the Winter Olympics they got it absolutely right! The events are so much fun and a whole Olympics can take you months to complete!
  • Pros: Family fun !
  • Cons: Hurt fingers after a while !

  • Excerpt: This game is the worst game ever unless you like pressing x ,o , x , o all the time you are on. There are different events including 100m sprint, 400m running, diving, hammer, javalin, swimming, cycling, canoeing, high jump, long jump, tipple jump and a few more.
  • Pros: none !  !
  • Cons: the whole game

  • Excerpt: Sydney 2000 is an okay game. It has good graphics and the idea is quite attractive but after a while it can get a bit boring. The game consists of around 12 different sports or events that you can take part in and you have to play for Great Britain.
  • Pros: Graphics
  • Cons: A bit boring

Great graphics, difficult to control

  • Excerpt: Having both been massive addicts of button basher International Track and Field, one of my best mates bought me Sydney 2000 during the height of the summer's Olympic fever. We quickly became addicts, but found the game far tougher to master, and the controls less responsive.
  • Pros: Great graphics and presentation
  • Cons: Long loading times; strenuous season mode

  • Excerpt: This is the official computer game for the olympics, which is in the same style as "track and field", in which you have to tap as quickly as possible alternate buttons to make your person: have more stamina, speed or stength as you are competing in your event.
  • Pros: reasonable graphics, frantic gameplay
  • Cons: Can get a little tiring  -  literally !

  • Excerpt: [sydney 2000] Well, for once the Olympics brought Great Britain some joy. The games perhaps helped to rekindle some of England's pride in it's sportsmen and athletes following the sporting disaster that the past year has been (the only other thing worth watching on TV this year was Big Brother, and...
  • Pros: Very realistic events .
  • Cons: Sadly the names of the athelets are still not there .

  • Excerpt: Games like this only come around every four years, and the Olympic committee may not have to bribe you to give this one a chance. As the "official video game of the Olympic Summer Games," Sydney 2000 brings the Olympic Games to video game players.
