The invaders were defeated, and the Tank has been steadily upgraded for the past twenty years, in preparation for their return.
Excerpt: Definitely a vast improvement from the original Space Invaders , but its still a 2D game. Don't be expecting anything along the lines of Soul Reaver here, but the backgrounds are beautifully rendered and the characters are nicely detailed. Explosions and such look good and the sound effects are appropriate. There's a cool FMV intro that makes reference to the original game and old school Space Invaders fans will get a kick out of this.
Excerpt: The addictive arcade shooter is back and it's better than ever. Space Invaders makes it's debut on the Playstation, and it makes it big. Activision has improved the game in almost every way but still kept the basics, so the average gamer won't have a tough time getting used to the game. This version of Space invaders boasts power ups as well as FMVs which I will talk about later.
