Nice story - shame about the graphics

  • Excerpt: Shadow Madness is an RPG from Crave with several unfortunate flaws which marr an otherwise interesting product. Its a two disc game with the discs split by location rather than story progress, which is a nice touch. The story is innovative (at long last an explanation as to WHY a bunch of unlikely adventurers should be the only people who can save the world that is vaguely credible).
  • Pros: Good storyline, strong characters
  • Cons: Poor graphics, flawed controls

Doing the RPG genre no favours.

  • Excerpt: Welcome to the world of Shadow Madness, a supposedly fantastic RPG world that's recently been plagued by self-destructing cities, a mind-scrambling disease, and a variety of other social maladies…apparently. It's difficult to single out a genre these days that isn't inhabited with internationally developed games. The console RPG is one such genre and has been a Japanese mainstay for as long as I care to remember.
  • Pros: None, there are many, mant better RPG's out there that deserve your hard earned money .
  • Cons: Lots .  The graphics, story, controls, the dialouge .
