Omega Boost

Playstation Illustrated
9 October 1999
  • Excerpt: The graphics in Omega Boost are quite good. The zones themselves are drab, with either empty space or simple repeating textures, but that’s not what you’re watching. The models, on the other hand, are superb. Everything looks really spiffy, from the mecha, erm, Omega Boost that you pilot down to the bosses that you fight. Detailed, textured, and pretty. Fast, too -- the game blazes with speed that matches the good anime that it’s based on, like Robotech .

Formula One Championship Edition

CVG
9 October 1999
  • Summary: Apparently, Formula One Championship Edition is the closest you'll get to the real thing without being speared through the guts by the nose of a 200mph Ferrari. Formula One, you see, has been dying at an inversely proportional rate to the success of one Michael Schumacher - the more he won, the more people switched over to the EastEnders omnibus.
  • Pros: Lots of realistic depth, Feels real. We imagine
  • Cons: Lacks real thrills and spills, Michael Schumacher's in it
