Excerpt: Medieval is an adventure/plat former title set in the medieval days for the PlayStation. In my opinion, it is one of the best games on the PlayStation; I will try to highlight the primary reasons. First, let's start with game play. You basically fight your way from one level to the next, fighting a variety of enemies, like zombies, little imps, soldiers, pumpkin heads, etc.
Pros: Fun, engaging gameplay/Good music and voice acting/Smooth and controls and graphics
Cons: Camera can be a problem at times/Sounds can be repetitive/Story lacking
Excerpt: Originally released near Halloween in October 1998 (a rather fitting date for the games subject matter), MediEvil tells the tale of of a deceased knight (the noble Sir Dan) as he fights to rid the land of Gallowmere of the evil Zarok and his undead army. Sir Dan is definitely a hero gamers can root for. He's the underdog-the knight who dreamed of being regarded as a hero by his peers.
Pros: Charming visuals, an engrossing story, great humour and fun platforming parts .
Cons: Poor camera positioning at times, hack and slash gameplay may be too repetitive for some .
Excerpt: Sir Daniel Fortesque, the king’s champion, defeated the evil Sorcerer Zarok a hundred years ago, or so the legend goes. The truth is different, as the unlucky knight died in the first charge and never managed to fight Zarok. When Zarok returns, raising the dead and possessing the villagers, he also resurrects Sir Dan who sets out to defeat him again. The game is effectively a 3D platformer with a number of puzzles and enemies to solve.
Pros: Great Graphics, great gameplay, great soundtrack . . . .
Excerpt: What a shatpank game! about 6 o clock christmas day i was unwrapping this present about 3 years ago and i wasnt very exited to have it, that was until i actually started playing it and it sucked me in! the story is about a warrior who got killed at the first charge of a battle. he was thought to have killed the evil emporer called Zarok, but he didnt. he actually went away for some time.
Excerpt: The land of Gallowmere is ruled over in peace by a certain King Peregrine. One day, a con man by the name of Daniel Fortesque arrives at the King's gates and begins to tell him stories of how he has been a hero and a mighty warrior in far off lands. King Peregrine likes stories, and our man Dan is a good story-teller. Dan is knighted and is made the head of the King's army. As there has been peace in the realm for so long, this is just an honorary title.
Excerpt: The goofy skeletal knight is back from the dead, again. This is a Sony game and is aimed for ages 11 plus. It is compatible with Sony memory card and Sony dual shock. There is 17 levels to complete and a wide verity of weapons to use. There are also little mini games to play inside the game which makes it more fun. On each level you have to retrieve the chalice of souls to get a special weapon.
Excerpt: In fact, Sir Dan's Lazarus impersonation has far darker undertones than to just amuse friends at dinner parties, for his life-long foe, the evil villain Zarok is back too, and he is simply dying to take over the world! Being raised from his crypt by Zarok's evil powers our gangly empty-skulled hero steps blinking, with his one remaining eye, into the land of Gallowmere and takes it upon himself to vanquish Zarok once again, and maybe get himself something to fill that...
Excerpt: OOOOhhhh!!!! I've always loved spooky stuff, and I've always loved the Medievil era, so when I saw this game advertised, I just had to buy it!!!! It is amazing, great graphics, amazing sound, fabulous colours, and fast game-play!!!! What more can you want?? This excellent game is full of levels that are jam-packed with weird and wonderful creatures to defeat, hurdles to overcome, and puzzles to solve.
Excerpt: The Original and Best - Play this Game!! This is a superb example of everything that's good about Consoles. This game excels in all departments ; action, playability, graphics, sound and humour. Medievil is a joy to play, with no discernable negative points. The story is original, the game is additive without being frustrating, the graphics fantastic and the controls straightforward. The characters are also enjoyable.
Excerpt: What a breath of fresh air, a 3D platformer with a bit of originality thrown in and right from the moment at the beginning when I discovered I could rip my own skeletal arm off and bash someone over the head with it, I was hooked. Of course there's much more to this game than clobbering people with your own arm and it's not long before you start collecting some much more effective weapons to go clobbering with, and slicing, and dicing, and spearing, and stabbing, and...
