Excerpt: Nine years ago I remember buying this game and playing it! Knock Out Kings 2000 was certainly one of the worst boxing games I have ever played. The main attraction on the game was the star boxers in the game. The likes of Lennox Lewis and Muhammad Ali had been put in the game. This was the reason that I actually did buy the game then. First impressions when playing the game with my friends was this game sucks!
Excerpt: I played, I enjoyed, but I also got bored. The main menu has six options to choose from: Slugfest - no rules, no refs, no waiting, so you can fight mean and dirty. Build your own contender - this is career mode, and the best mode. Classic fights - rewrite history. Exhibition mode - fight featured champions and customised boxers. Review history on featured champions. Select game options.
Excerpt: When this game first came out I rented it from a local shop and while I found it entertaining never got round to buying it, but last week I did and I have to say its proved most compelling. It has numerous modes in which you can beat up the computer or a friend. I found the career mode great fun whilst slightly easy. I'm not a huge boxing fan but this game captured a little of the magic and gave it to me.
Excerpt: Knockout Kings 2000 is the follow up to Knockout Kings 1999. It's also a much better game as well. This time we have more boxers including Joe Frazier and Ray Robinson. We also have the vocal talents of Barry McGuigan and Harry Carpenter. The game play at times is excellent. Just play classic mode, and this time Joe Frazier can beat Muhammad Ali twice instead of once. However, the thing that lets this games down is the career mode. It's at times awful.
