Excerpt: The graphics in Hogs of War feel a bit dated, a little more bland than perhaps they needed to be. The vast expanses of land are broken up by a few trees and lots of hills, but the world as a whole still feels unoccupied. There's a good deal of polygon breakup as well, especially when you're using a sight and looking over water. This is all pretty minor, however.
Excerpt: Hogs Of War is an appealing combination of strategy and action. The player controls a team of hog commandos and each round he/she is given a limited amount of time to move and act with one member of the swine squad. After time expires or the player takes an action, it is then the opponents turn to make their move. While I can see the necessity of this set up, especially in multi-player competition, it is the one cause of frustration.
