Excerpt: Thanks to a lack of FFVIII's overall sucess, Final Fantasy IX returns to the roots of the series for some classic gameplay. Battles are similar to those found in FFVII and the storyline has returned to dealing with the crystal of early FF games.
Excerpt: Every rule must have an exception to prove it. The exception to my rule (which need not be stated here) is Final Fantasy IX. I came to play this title thanks to a generous co-worker’s loaned PS2 one summer, and had just enough time to delve deeply into it before the machine vanished once again.
Excerpt: Princess Garnet of Alexandria is celebrating her sixteenth birthday, with the Tantalus Theater Troupe arriving to put on a show, during which they kidnap her, sparking a long chain of events where her mother, Queen Brahne, wishes to take back her daughter by force.
Summary: Next to Final Fantasy 7 this one is my favorite Final Fantasy I got so much into this game I loved the story to it I loved the characters and thought their powers were super cool. The Final Fantasy trilogy is great for anyone of all ages writing this review makes me want to play them again.
Summary: I seem to like this game a lot more than most other people. It seems that no one really hates it... but apparently no one likes it enough to mention it either (as opposed to Final Fantasy VII, which finds it's way in almost any conversation including Squaresoft).
Summary: This game is a "return to basics" for Final Fantasy Games, since they had been going more toward a "techno/steampunk" stile for a few games. This one is going back to its fantasy origins, and it's doing it well. It's become one of my favorite FF games.
Summary: I'm only part-way through the first disc and even though the game is not exactly how I remember it to be when it came out it is very engaging and seems easier this time around.I would suggest this game to any Final Fantasy fan, even though I tend to prefer FF8.
