Dance Dance Revolution Konamix
25 February 2005
Excerpt: Usually a game consists of a plot, enemies of some sort, a character you control and an ending after completing the game. Dance Dance Revolution Konamix does not have any of these elements, but is one of the most addictive games in recent memory. Based on the incredibly popular arcade versions, this dancing game doesn’t disappoint. Most of you probably snicker when you hear the words “dancing game.” I laughed at those words too until I finally gave DDR a chance.
Excerpt: By now, most gamers worth their salt have at least heard of Dance Dance Revolution. Some have called it the greatest game series of all time; others shake their heads in disgust when they spot it in the arcades. No matter which category you may fall into, you've still gotta admit -- it's a hell of a workout!
Excerpt: For the uninitiated, here is a quick run-though on how one plays DDR. DDR uses a peripheral dancepad controller, which the player stands upon during gameplay. Players select a difficulty, a character, and then a song. A row of stationary dark arrows is located near the top of the screen, representing up, down, left, and right.
