Summary: If you are tired of fighting games and want to be renewed, get this game. It is fun, quick to pick up, and doesn't have to be time-consuming. Half of the time spent playing is because you are watching those wonderful movies. If you have time constraints you can skip past them. But what would be the fun in that. You'll love the wonderful graphics and even more so, Dr. Pick.
Excerpt: Lately DreamWorks has been rolling out great videogames. First it was Medal of Honor, which was one of the best titles in '99, then it was Warpath: Jurassic Park, which was a beautifully detailed fighter with an average gameplay. But now I do not know what they were thinking when they published BoomBots. Judging by the title you can tell that this is a fighting game with robots, but these robots aren't the type you see in Terminator or RoboCop, hell NO!
Excerpt: The ingame graphics of Boombots are pretty good, if sparse. The various Boombots (robots ranging from the quite humanoid to the canine) have solid character models, and the arenas are well laid-out, although the graphics have a certain amount of graininess to them that somewhat detracts from the appearance. The explosions and stuff, however, are plenty neat. The animations for going Mongo are hilarious as well.
Excerpt: Boombots is a comedic hi-tech fighting game set in the far future (the year is 15 million to be precise.) You must pick one of 10 Boombots and battle your way thru several stages in order to save the world. Boombots are robots specially designed to protect the earth from the nefarious Mandu and his legions of evil space cats. Sound silly yet? The year is 15 million and earth has been conquered by Mandu and his alien cats from outer space.
