Summary: There are racing games, there are car enthusiast games, and then there is Need for Speed: Rivals. This game captivated me for a grand total of 12 minutes. I barely got through the tutorial before returning to my local GameStop and returning this. The plot is foolish, the graphics are OK at best, and the game play itself is boring. If you're looking for a racing game, this isn't it. This game would be cool in an arcade, not on a console.
Summary: I hate new games that are measurably worse than the prior version. The online play is terrible. TERRIBLE. It's a joke that isn't funny. The maps are huge but there are only 6 people allowed in a game. I literally played this game for 2 hours once and did nothing except to try to find another human player. I found one and we stopped, honked at each-other, and then went our separate ways to chase AI racers. Stupid!
Excerpt: This is terrible for boys that want to play together in the same room. I purchased because it states up to six players. You only can actually play one person in the same room. Players two - six have to be on a network. This really is not good when you have three boys that want to race each other. Description should be more clear.
Summary: Game repeats itself. Same thing over and over. Got a few tasks to achieve, then go back to your hide out then pick another mission which is the same as the previous. Cop and racer mode don't differ much. If you get bored easy, this is not the game for you. The graphics are good, and the gameplay is good. Just overall you will get bored.
Summary: This could have been so good, but what a let down.. I am a great fan of all nfs games and I have them all, so what a let down playing this one. if you play as a cop, other cop cars smash you up and not other players, the computer generated ones. ghost cars smashing you up when there's not another car in sight etc etc.. if you play as a racer there will be times when you cannot get into your hideout, so all of your accumulated score is lost as you get busted. ALSO...
Summary: Five days ago I purchased what I thought was the limited edition from a third party seller, going by Amazon's description on this webpage. The item was actually labelled as Need for Speed: Rivals Limited Edition and had a description of extras which came with the game. I placed an order after making sure I had the limited edition tab pressed from a third party seller based on this.
