Summary: Unspeakably bad. Repetitive, a total failure of gameplay, misuse of procedural generation, dull, tedious, not scary, horrible story, bad mechanics, nothing here works correctly. It has some nice graphics for the first half an hour until you realize that yes, you are just going to be seeing the same rooms over and over again at which point they become as tedious as everything else. There is Unspeakably bad.
Summary: Whether or not a game is $10 or inexpensive should not justify a boring experience. If this was free, it would still be just as tedious and lacking in scares or a reason to continue. Outlast may have had its own problems, but overall is a much, much better game and more worthy of your money. I went back to view a video of one of Daylight's producers talking about how great this was going Whether or not a game is $10 or inexpensive should not justify a boring experience.
Summary: This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. There's a really awesome horror experience in here, but its only shown in occasional flashes of brilliance. The game suffers from numerous bugs and glitches, including occasional game ending crashes. In addition to this the game has major narrative issues. You are Sarah... Umm... That's pretty much it. If you thought Outlast's main character Miles was under developed, then wait until you get a load of this!
Summary: pretty bad game even if i do get scared keep in mind im 11 its not a very well jumpy scare and as long as you donte look behind you you are immortal the random generation is cool but horribly executed and for the price this is not worth it maybe 10$ overall more dev time and maybe a kick starter whoulde have helped
Summary: The atmosphere is good but the gameplay turns out to be repetitive and overall very dull. It was poorly executed and feels very unfinished. It starts out feeling scary but in the end it's not.
Summary: Poor visual quality, bad sound quality. Stupid gameplay like in cheap horrors. Enemy unexpectly appeared in front of your face and screaming - thats all gameplay... No psychological, no deep emotions - just dumb "BOO" method. At this moment game has a terrible technical ussues. To say simple - is unplayable.
Summary: What I think is being missed here by most reviews, is that this game is obviously intended to be rendered in 3D; it is a proof of concept title that falls short of perfection, but looses your mind on the possibilities of 3D gaming. I have played 3D enabled platforming titles, and watched 3D movies, but never played a 1st Person game in a full 3D environment as it is presented in Daylight.
Summary: I cannot begin to imagine how is it possible that this game gets some 7s or 8s... It's beyond me. From the menu to the very first gameplay seconds it is quite obvious that this is a game of very poor quality. After having examined it for about 1 hour and a half I have reached the ending and also the conclusion that this is probably the worst game I have played in a long time. And I have I cannot begin to imagine how is it possible that this game gets some 7s or 8s...
Summary: If you are in the market for this kind of game I'd just go with Amnesia. It's fun...ish. It does a great job with the mood, just not with the actual gameplay. Also, I got it free with my GTX 770 and yet it maxes out my card while lagging like crazy unless you modify some of the files. My 770 is manually overclocked and puts out between 90-144 fps on every other game I own. While looking If you are in the market for this kind of game I'd just go with Amnesia.
Summary: Ok, where to start. I was looking forward to this for a while it looked good and so sat down and was ready for a outlast type ride. Well. Its not that, not by a mile. Its repetitve, boring, irritating, poorly made, and so crap i havent even finnished it. Dont waste your money, try the new out last dlc its way way better.
