PS3 Import Review – Yakuza: Kenzan

PlayStation LifeStyle
17 April 2011
  • Summary: Kazuma Kiryu takes it back to the old schcool – like the 400 year old school.
  • Pros: + Story is all kinds of awesome, especially for fans of both samurai lore and Yakuza games, +/- Familiarity with the Japanese language necessary
  • Cons: - Combat leaves something to be desired, +/- Familiarity with the Japanese language necessary

Adult Swim Games Portal

Square-Go
30 July 2010
  • Excerpt: For those of you who have not been exposed to the offbeat brilliance that is Adult Swim, let us fill you in. Adult Swim is the name given to Cartoon Network’s late-night programming, filled with animations ranging from the perverse to the surreal, from the sublime to the gor-blimey. Squidbillies, Harvey Birdman: Attorney At Law and Robot Chicken are all Adult Swim productions, along with their flagship programme (or the most popular at least), Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

Test Yakuza 3

Generation NT
26 July 2010
  • Conclusion: Yakuza en haute définition, ça donne quoi ?

Yakuza 3 Review

PlayDevil
29 June 2010
  • Summary: " Yakuza 3 " is a multifaceted game that could appeal to gamers of many proclivities. While the western gamer expecting Grand Theft Auto Japan should stay well clear of the games well rendered but decidedly boxy confines, Japanophiles, JRPG fans and enthusiast of old school brawlers will all find this a novel way to indulge their interests.

Yakuza 3 PS3 Review

Console Obsession
28 May 2010
  • Excerpt: Kazuma Kiryu, star of Yakuza, quickly became one of my all time favourite gaming characters. He’s a bad guy turned good and a character with two very different sides to him: one violent, the other surprisingly caring. But Kazuma is only violent when provoked, and Yakuza 3 shows just how compassionate that the character can be when he’s not beating up dangerous thugs.

Yakuza 3 Review

ME Gamers
21 April 2010
  • Excerpt: First Impressions My reaction is Considering the name, we were expecting badass Japanese gangsters, tattoos, violence and loads of drama. And that’s exactly what the game delivers from Level 5 onwards. But you’ll need the patience of Job to get there. Those who have followed the series may relate to the storyline better but as this is my first experience with the Yakuza series, I found the detailed storyline a bit overwhelming, particularly because it’s in Japanese with...
