Summary: Much of the iOS gaming community looked at the App Store deployment of XCOM with jaded eyes: tipping the scales at $20, it's expensive, and it is a port from a console. Justifiably, many looked at it as another attempt to wring some more cash out of gamer, and sure it is; that's the games industry.
Excellent game, very hard though, but that's part of the fun.

Summary: The good thing about X-Com is its difficulty. I play in Classic mode and with the Iron man option selected. At first you can't kill a single alien, and you are soon overwhelmed by the high learning curve.
Summary: Fun strategy, has definitely not been 'dumbed down for consoles' and was quite emotional when getting attached to certain soldiers and watching them progress. Re playability is at a minimum though as it is pretty much the same again.
A very fun game you should play, does not live up to the original.

Summary: I bought this game because I really like the x com franchise. The first one I played was x com interceptor, which is a space dog fighter game. Then I went back and played the older x com gamesX com has been a pretty fun game.
Summary: As a hardcore XCOM fan since the first 1997 game, I was so excited about this that I bought a brand new PS3 just to be able to play it. The graphics are awesome and the gameplay is as scary and difficult as the first one. Most of the content is pretty similar with a bunch of new stuff.
