Summary: Quick summary (mostly for those who played original series): The good: - Interesting action and movement system. - Four operatives classes (Heavy, Assault, Sniper and Medic) and their little perk systems. - Money issues. Yes - that's good. Adds difficult choices into the game.
Summary: Let me start off by saying this game is great and I'm a long time player of X-COM games. NOW... the reason I give it 2 stars is all the bugs/glitches it has. Makes the game unplayable at times... 'm probably 20 hours into it and all of the sudden over half of my squad are "on Mission".
Summary: I can't review the game as I won't be playing it yet after receiving the Asian release version, code BLAS-50353 rather than the EU version, which is BLES-01711. Although probably "Region Free", the DLC code won't work on the EU store, and any future DLC released on the EU store won't work with this...
Summary: Overpriced, overvallued, overrated... Your better off with the PSX version, and you can get it cheaper too... Stay away from this game, any strategy game on any platform is supperior to this ressurection of XCOM.
Summary: It was the year 1994 the the original masterpiece was released, XCOM Enemy unknown developed by Microprose. The original game featured strong resource and base management and strong tactical gameplay.
Summary: I was on one of the early missions and I was patiently and strategically positioning my troops behind cover, when out of nowhere, no warning, an alien spawned right behind my sniper. And killed her! ???????????????????
Summary: While this was an excellent game - and other reviewers have highlighted the reasons far better than I could - the game is, at least on PS3, too buggy to play. Anything that involves a cutscene runs the risk of a complete crash. It is almost as bad as Skyrim.
