Summary: Worms on the PlayStation 3 is a good little game. Its basically a HD remake of the original Worms on the PlayStation with a few new touches like new terrain's to battle in, new speech banks for worms and added online with up to 4 players. The graphics are sweet and cartoony, the sound is good and the arsenal you are given to play with is ok but I wish they'd have the weapons from Worms Worms on the PlayStation 3 is a good little game.
Excerpt: I was first introduced to this game for the Playstation one by a friend who was completely nuts about it and I really only started playing it to shut her up! However I soon became hooked on the cute little wormies and their mad killing ways! So here’s what the game is all about… *** The Box *** I’ll get the boring bit out the way first. Worms comes in a playstation one box, with the word Worms on the front with the ‘O’ replaced by a hand grenade.
Pros: Great fun, very addictive and cute sayings !
Excerpt: I like the worms games. Simple as that. I love the way they are simple to play, colourful, funny, and challenging. I purchased this game about half a year ago, for a very cheap price. I was put off that a worm game was selling for a fiver, and was kinda left thinking, ''Hey, maybe it isn't as good as the rest.'' Oh, how wrong I was. Graphics- 10 Same as the other worms games, and for those who don't know, they are colourful, pretty, barmy, and cartoony.
Pros: Great cartoony graphics, challenging gameplay, a huge variety of levels and weapons, and a hilarious game to play
Cons: Takes a while to get used to . Some people don't like the graphics
Excerpt: If you like shot em up's, platform, action and fun games then worms is the game for you. you have teams of five of the finest pure bred fighting worms, if you dont like the teams of worms you have to choose from make your own teams and play against up to four of your mates. Sink your friends into the depths of the Martian gloop or leave them to burn in the lava pits of Hades.
Excerpt: There cute, there pink, there one of a kind yes you guessed it there worms. They live in the ground, or do they?? One begins to ask himself that question when one sees it holding a bazooka!! Command your legion of worms and deal death on other teams of battle worms, crush there pink little existances outa this world before they do!
Pros: Very fun game with lots of laughs, one for the multiplayer gamers
Cons: Graphics arnt very good, too much like lemmings in some places(though this could be a good point for some)
Excerpt: There's nothing like killing harmless worms on a sunday afternoon. This game is like no other, you can choose which weapon you would like to butcher your next worm with. The game looks very similar to the original Lemmings game, the difference being as you can do to these worms that you always wanted to do to those lemmings, mutilate them in anyway possible. You have a selection of tools to move around the levels with, e.g.
Excerpt: I first played this game on my Mac. It was only the demo version, so I only had three levels to amuse myself with. However, when I got my Playstation, one of the first games I bought was Worms, which was in the pre-owned bin for a tenner, so I couldn't help myself. Worms has a simple nature. You have a team of four worms with which you must annihilate the opposition as quickly and amusingly as possible.
Excerpt: Worms This game was a massive hit on the PC platform, with geeks and Goths alike. When I first heard it was to be introduced on the Playstation I was excited, if not a little unsure. It is difficult to manoeuvre the worms with the chunky pad, as mouse control is much better. It is a blast fest, which can generate new terrain for you to kill your mates on.
Excerpt: Worms is one of the best games on the Playstation that I have ever played. it combines humour and quality gameplay, sound and graphics. The game is especially good when you are playing against your friends. The selction of weapons is execellent and the different playing areas are something else. The worms look really funny and the idea of having to kill off each team member of your oposition is really good.Ok so the graphics aren't great but that doesn't matter.
Excerpt: Worms is quite an old game for the PlayStation 1. The thing I don't like about it is that the game play takes place in only two dimensions. I thought the whole point of having a PlayStation was that you could battle your way through three dimensions whilst kicking the s*** out of everything that gets in your way. Having said all this, my eight year old son absolutely loves this game.
