Worms 2: Armageddon

Strategy Informer
6 October 2011
  • Conclusion: Which brings us to the obvious verdict: If you haven't played Worms before, pick this up. Otherwise, you're probably best to stick with what you've got. Worms 2: Armageddon is great fun, just as it was ten years ago.

Worms 2 Armageddon Review

ablegamers.com
30 May 2011
  • Excerpt: The Worms franchise has been around now for the better part of the last two decades, so it should serve as no surprise that publisher and developer Team17 would be looking to reinvent the title that helped to shape the turn-based strategy genre in new and exciting ways. But, it’s like they say “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it” and it looks like that’s the exact credo that the studio based out of the UK decided to live by.

Warpgate and Warpgate HD

Square-Go
3 December 2010
  • Excerpt: As someone once wrote, space is big. Really big. So it’s rather fitting that Warpgate , a game set in space, is too. In fact, Warpgate FREE (the demo) will probably last you longer than some full games. What a demo it is too, since you can upload a saved game to “the cloud” via your Plus+ account. This means you can later download that saved gate to any device running either Warpgate or Warpgate HD .

That's a year after its debut on the Xbox Live Arcade and two weeks after the release of the re-imagined PC variant Worms: Reloaded .

Worms 2: Armageddon

Square-Go
25 September 2010
  • Excerpt: If you listen hard enough a sound can be heard round the country, so turn off all appliances, switch off that radio and concentrate. One sound clearly stands out among the wind and the rain, a familiar high-pitched squeal. Soon mingled sounds pipe up and join this din, a sheep’s frantic bleating, shotgun blasts, bananas imploding and worms exploding. This can only mean one thing; the worms are back in action.

GAME REVIEW – Worms 2: Armageddon (PSN/PlayStation 3)

Alternative Magazine Online
10 July 2010
  • Conclusion: However, inspired new single player missions. glorious HD visuals and sound, and that old Worms charm all do this game proud, especially for fans. It isn’t revolutionary by any means, but it does possess a nostalgic charm that merges perfectly with the various tinkerings and updates that have been implemented throughout. A wonderful downloadable title that is as much of a blast alone as it is with a friend at home or online.

Worms 2: Armageddon Review

GamingTrend
5 April 2010
  • Excerpt: The first time I ever played a Worms game was on my friend’s Sega Saturn. Between stints of Virtua Fighter battles and races in Daytona USA, we were blowing things to smithereens in Worms. That was the last time I had played a Worms game, and as subsequent releases made their way to new generations of console and PC gamers, I let the series slip by me and allowed it to hold a fond place in my childhood gaming memories.
