Summary: It is been quite a while since I last played a snooker/pool game and this is the first 'full price' game of such on the PS3, so I was eager to see what it turned out like. First things first the graphics have been 'amped' up considerably, but still not on par with the bestest sports games out there (such as NBA 2k9, Tiger Woods, etc. The sound and music are not great and John Virgo's 'expert' commentary is pretty poor and extremely repetitive.
Summary: As already stated the graphics are ok but the sound is not, and i find it really annoying you can't play billiards or bar billiards against an AI opponent. This really should be a lot better than it is, and to be honest i'm probably going to go back to the codemasters 2003 game for the PS2 as it's far more intuitive and fun.
Summary: So snooker on the mighty PS3, got to be something special?...well not really. Having played most of these type of sims back in the Amiga days and buying a copy of something for my PS2 a long time back this is the first time ive gone back to a snooker sim. My old memories of snooker games used to be basic graphics and a computer opponent who missed nothing.
