Summary: This game is a rip-off! Way too high of a price. High Stakes on the Vegas Strip on the Playstation 3 store is way better and much less to buy. This game doesn't have audio, video, or PSP remote play like High Stakes does. Also, the computer play is horrible and it is almost impossible to read anything on the screen unless you are two feet away. Save your money and get High Stakes which is supposed to be on the PSN on December 13th.
Summary: This game had good gameplay and players but the cards and stats are way too small to see a few feet away. the whole stat system seemed to be ported from a pc where your sitting 1 foot from screen.
World Series of Poker 2008: Battle for the Bracelets (PS3): WSOP 2008 - Battle for the Bracelets
6 December 2011
Summary: One of the best poker games i have played however i believe it does not compare to online poker as your opponents can become predictable at times. The challenge of the game is very good as to where you are able to develop your career as a player and go for the WSOP player of the year and the main event title!
Pros: Very good challenging game
Cons: Can take a lot of time to complete tournaments.
Summary: Being a keep hobby poker player i felt i had to have a game for my PS3. World Series of Poker 2008 wasthe one i chose, mainly because i managed to find a copy on special offer. The game plays as you would expect, the graphics are ok and the animations are smooth. There are different games you can play such as cash, and tourneys also there is a fun heads up ladder to play where you can play against different well known pros up to phil hellmuth at the top.
Conclusion: Well, at first i thought this was great, especially when i won the wsop in my first season, but when it moved to season 2 it reset all my money and i was back to square one basically wasting the hours of craeful play to build up my bank - hugely annoying and very dissapointing.
