Awesome Kids' Game!

Coty Medina, Amazon

  • Summary: I bought this for my 4-year-old son as an alternative to all the shooting games. He loves it. You can change the difficulty level. The controls are fairly simple, he picked it up right away. It's even simple enough for me to play with him! However, it is only a one player game. Fun levels that change up objectives.

  • Summary: I loved this game! I originally bought it for my son who loves all wtwta stuff. I usually don't like video games based on films but this was the exception. It was entertaining and imaginitve and just challenging enough to keep it interesting. I had a lot of fun alternating turns with my son. If you're looking for a light quick play for an adult or a semi challenging game for a kid its a good buy.

Cute

  • Summary: It's cute and fun. A good time passer. Not too hard, not too easy. I like it, although a bit more story would be nice. It's basically just little adventures here and there and not much narrative.

Fun game

mv, Amazon
12 January 2013
  • Summary: This is an adventure game along the lines of Spyro. The game is fun to play but not overly challenging. Deaths are quickly respawned and the game never forces you to replay too much, which is nice. There are many levels with things to collect and cheats to unlock. There is jumping, climbing, swinging, shooting and bug fighting. Each level has a few puzzles to solve. There is also a free-roaming world to explore. The game has about 20-30hrs of play.

  • Summary: i've played a lot of games. and recently, many AAA titles have felt like a bit of a chore. however, this title really captures the essence of the movie. and although not driven by the movie's story, it's really engaging. previous warner bros releases have been sub-par and I almost didn't want to buy this game because of this reason, but i am very happy with this one.

More like 2 1/2 stars

Shane Windham "Shane Windham, author", Amazon

  • Summary: As a fan of the film, I really wanted to love this game. It certainly has some charm, but frustrating control mechanics, an unfriendly camera, and repetitive level design and boss battles really draw away from the experience. There is a lot of collecting and a central hub area (much like in Toy Story 3), but the game doesn't offer much beyond that. I will say that the regular gameplay is thrown a curve here and there with riding the Wild Things and sailing.
