Reviews and Problems with Wheels of Destruction: World Tour

Summary: Not sure where to start with this one. It's a really bad game with a neat design. You can pick your class and then go out and take on the opposing teams. Sounds fun, but it's not. It's horribly boring with terrible controls and a lackluster community, even on day one of the game being out. I recommend you skip this one and look elsewhere for your vehicular combat enjoyment. This game wouldn't stand a chance even if it came out before Twisted Metal.
Summary: Mix of TeamFortress2 and Twisted Metal. Several classic game modes - Deathmatch, TeamDeathmatch, CTF. 5 different classes, 5 maps (hope DLC will add more). It's simple to pick up and play, with the controls feeling instantly intuitive, but getting to know when and where to use certain weapons and car classes takes time, adding plenty of depth to the gameplay. At a price of $9.99 USD it's an excellent alternative to Twisted Metal.
Summary: Will it ever beat Twisted Metal? No, but then again it doesn't intend too. It is however very good on it's own merits and great fun to play. Plenty of maps and mutators, enough vehicles to please ever type of player, a good selection of weapons, nice looking graphics and spot on sounds. With upto 12 people per match (bots and online) will mean there's always a way to play even if the serve rs are quiet.
