Review: Wheels of Destruction - World Tour (Sony PS3)

Diehard GameFAN
21 June 2012
  • Excerpt: Games like Twisted Metal are already a far step ahead because right out of the box, it includes a full, story driven single player campaign. Wheels of Destruction’s single player amounts to little more than a handful of what are essentially tutorials against braindead AI drivers on the same five arena style maps used in the multiplayer, using the three different match types.

Wheels of Destruction: World Tour

  • Conclusion: The battles you encounter in both the single player and online modes are fun and can keep you entertained for a while. However, the gameplay became pretty repetitive after the first few fights. The camera angles stopped me from playing at first, because I grew pretty frustrated with my lack of ability to move correctly. Once I got a handle of that, it lost the rest of my attention and I went on to another game.

Review: Wheels of Destruction: World Tour

New Gamer Nation
23 April 2012
  • Conclusion: Overall, Wheels of Destruction falls short of its mark. The concept behind it was sound but the game failed in execution. On one hand, you have a strong graphics engine and wonderfully crafted levels, but on the other, you have an extremely limited game with only two viable game modes, subpar controls, lag issues and a poorly timed launch, all of which contribute heavily to a negative outlook on the game.

Wheels of Destruction: World Tour Review

GameSpot
9 April 2012
  • Excerpt: Contrary to popular belief, a car's sole purpose is not just to shuttle its passengers around town. That mundane task makes up only a small portion of a car's potential. Outfit a four-wheeled vehicle with a bevy of ready-to-kill firearms and a sturdy protective shell, and you've got yourself a source of destructive entertainment that would make Henry Ford faint with delight.
  • Pros: Well-designed maps
  • Cons: Dearth of single-player content, Online suffers from lots of lag

Wheels of Destruction: World Tour

Strategy Informer
7 April 2012
  • Conclusion: All-in-all, the game can be a lot of fun, but basic gameplay controls and mechanics stifle its ability to really make a lasting impact on you other than one of untimely-rage quitting and frustration.

Wheels of Destruction: World Tour

Konzolista.cz
30 June 2013
  • Summary: Na Wheels of Destruction: World Tour se dobře dívá, ale to je tak vše.

Review: "Wheels of Destruction: World Tour" (PS3)

gamingxp.com
15 May 2012
Mit „Wheels Of Destruction“ will man eine billigere Alternative anbieten.
  • Pros: Deinstallierbar
  • Cons: schreckliche Grafik, kaum Fahrezeuge, mickrige Auswahl an Arenen, zu wenige Spielmodi, unbegreiflich schlechte Steuerung, eine Farce auf 4 Rädern, monotone Umgebungen, wenig Waffen, dumme Gegner KI bei Single Player

Wheels of Destruction : World Tour

Play3-Live.com
4 April 2012
  • Pros: Son prix, Fun
