Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams

Destructoid
2 September 2013
  • Summary: Giana Sisters is a game that generally incites one response: plagiarism of Super Mario Bros . When Black Forest Games launched its Kickstarter campaign for Project Giana back in July, the intention was to provide gamers the chance to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Giana Sisters with a unique new game. As one of the first Steam Greenlight games released, it's finally here for us to see Giana all dolled up and ready for her graduation.

Warhawk

GamesRadar

  • Pros: Huge levels, tons of variety, Vehicles are a blast to drive, Optional tilt control isn't half bad
  • Cons: No single-player whatsoever, Planes are too easy to destroy, Team chatter is hard to understand

Warhawk (PS3) Review

411mania.com
26 August 2008
  • Summary: The bottom line is that if you have a PS3 and you're willing to put up with the developers continuing to work the kinks out of the network, then Warhawk is definitely worth a shot. If you weren't in the beta test, you'll be better off buying the retail box instead of opting for the download. At least then you have something you can trade in if Warhawk just doesn't do it for you.

Warhawk

  • Excerpt: Initially, I was wary of Warhawk. It looked to me to be similar to the Battlefield games that are already available on the PC, but being objective, I decided play it and see what the fuss was all about.  Hit the jump for the full review.

  • Conclusion: THE VERDICT: Warhawk is not a perfect game and I sometimes found myself getting frustrated, particularly early on when it was obvious that I was way off the skill level of the people I was playing with. But the more I played it the more I wanted to play it. There's a thrill that comes with seeing yourself progress in the post-game stats that's only matched by the sense of camaraderie the game fosters under the most ideal circumstances.

  • Excerpt: On the subject of flying, the Warhawk is also one of the most responsive vehicles ever. Pulling off aerial maneuvers is a cinch with the analog sticks and switching from hover to flight mode can be done at the hit of a button. If you are daring enough to go to motion control, your diligence in learning how to control the Warhawk with the Sixaxis will pay off, as it does offer more precise aiming.

WarHawk

  • Excerpt: A game that looks great, plays great, actually utilizes the SixAxis controller to great effect, WarHawk is pretty much the reason hardcore Sony fans bought a PlayStation3 in the first place. Good thing, too, as that's about the only group that has.

  • Conclusion: I'm taking a big risk rating the game as high as it is right now, and if for some reason things aren't worked out in the next week or two, this score is going to drop like a rock, but when the game works, it's absolutely amazing. Let's hope it gets there.
