Summary: Giana Sisters is a game that generally incites one response: plagiarism of Super Mario Bros . When Black Forest Games launched its Kickstarter campaign for Project Giana back in July, the intention was to provide gamers the chance to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Giana Sisters with a unique new game. As one of the first Steam Greenlight games released, it's finally here for us to see Giana all dolled up and ready for her graduation.
Summary: Warhawk is an amazing multiplayer experience. Almost everything is spot on, and players will have a lot of fun taking on different roles and trying out different tactics to reach their objectives. This title is a must-have for PS3 owners.
Pros: Simplistic menus and descriptions will help anyone become a server host and ranked pilot., There's a ton of ranks, ribbons and medals to earn., Graphics are beautifully enticing.
Cons: Steep learning curve without documentation or tutorials., Only works on one PSN account if you download it.
Excerpt: Remember Warhawk on the PSOne? Well, except for the convertible hover jets (called warhawks), the PS3 version has little to do with the original - so if you don't remember the original, there isn't much catching up to do. In fact, Warhawk completely ditches the single-player experience, or even a sense of why you are fighting, in favor of a 32-player, Battlefield -style game that is just as exciting to play as it is to look at.
Excerpt: Never has the cliché 'organised chaos' been more fitting when applied to a game. Warhawk, the PlayStation 3's first multiplayer-only release, lets you take to the skies in agile flying tanks, and indulge in frenzied battles with dozens of other PSN users. While the sky may be the limit, you can also fight from the ground, harnessing the power of heavily armoured cars and off-road vehicles, or even brave it on foot, and initially the experience is overwhelming at best.
Conclusion: Warhawk is a very strong PS3 title and is probably a must-own for those who like online gaming. It isn't as mind-bogglingly fast as a title like Resistance: Fall of Man, and doesn't seem to be as slow as Halo feels at times. I'm not saying this is a "Halo Slayer," but if you own a PS3, you should get it. The nice thing about it is that you can either download it for $40 or you can buy it in stores for $60 and get the free Bluetooth headset.
Excerpt: If you didn't know any better, Warhawk would sound a lot like an online shooter for the PC. Warhawk gives you large battle maps, several game modes, and the ability to fight as a soldier or to hop behind the controls of a vehicle or aircraft. Although the game is not very noob-friendly and completely lacks an offline mode, the game has a lot going for it and provides plenty of exciting multiplayer action.
Conclusion: The main game should take anywhere from 10 to 14 hours to complete. Outside of that, gun upgrades and safes can be found and banks to be robbed. After that, there isn't a whole lot to do. It took me about 15 hours to complete everything in the game, with over $300,000 dollars left over after upgrading every stat for every character. The Godfather II is a definite improvement over the original.
