Summary: In a nutshell this game has fallen squarely into the AVERAGE category. It has plenty of shining moments, and just as many deplorable moments. It can best be described as a Legend of Zelda knock-off; An unlikely hero acquires a weapon and special powers connected with her ancestry/heritage/fate, and sets out to explore an open world, growing her powers and equipment to battle evil. The problem being it feels generally unfinished in every aspect.
Summary: This is the kind of rpg that I really like, it definitely has a good story as well as a female lead. Game makers sometimes forget that there are female players and sometimes we like to be the hero. I would recommend this game to the female rpg gamer's.
Summary: I enjoyed my time with this game but clearly it is a budget title and as such, do not buy this game hoping for blockbuster writing or voice acting. The graphics are ok at best. The premis is interesting as you play the daughter of the Grim Reaper, however this is never really expanded upon and you simply go about tracking down the enemey to wipe him out. Still, the game has some decent boss battles and leveling up grants you some new powers to try as you go.
Summary: Venetica is rather inexplicable. A mystery wrapped in an enigma. From the start, I was left optimistic about some possibilities yet I was somehow already annoyed. Although worries like this usually sort themselves out pretty early on-- This can be for the better (as in Nier), or the worse (as in Last Rebellion)-- but the sensation never actually resolved itself. It has its moments of excitement, but I found myself grumbling at my TV just as often.
Summary: This game has got to be the most boring game I have ever played. I have been playing this game for 15 hours which is more than enough time to decide if you like it or not. The graphics are not the best for the ps3 but that isn't the start of it. The story mode isn't interesting at all, you are a female lead character who's lover was killed, now she's on a revenge kick, blah, blah, blah.
Some good things going for this game, but technical issues get in the way

Summary: Since I always find the Pro/Con bulleted points in reviews the most insightful parts, I'll list mine first. If you'd like the expanded version you can read on after. Game: Venetica Genre: Action-RPG Platform reviewed: PS3 Pros: - Stunning and breathtaking environments. Absolutely beautiful - brimming with expansive, colorful and well-lit vistas.
Summary: It's not the worst game to come out recently. Yes it's buggy, it freezes on occasion and every now and again you might find you can't interact with anything, but this is nothing that a restart won't fix. As long as you remember to save frequently. I've rated it for the gameplay, ignoring the bugs. The storyline is a bit on the daft side, but there are plenty of side-quests, a nice amount of things to kill and some interesting powers available through the twilight world.
Summary: Ok so it's not the best RPG in the world but it's not as bad as people make out. Voice acting is better than a lot of games out there and the story line is good. Combat sytem is easy to understand as is the attributes system. The camera can let one down on occasion but that happens in the best of games and I rarely found it bothersome. This game is cheap now and in my opinion a neglected bargain.
Summary: Venetica suffers from a number of problems, mainly the poor graphics and an awkward camera. It looks like a PS2 game and the camera can drive you mad sometimes as it wildly swings around. To add to it's problems the textures are poor and the animation leaves a lot to be desired. Also there are frame rate issues as the picture stutters sometimes. The real time combat is O.K. and there are plenty of quests to keep you busy. The story? Well it's O.K.
