Summary: I love Platinum games. Virtually all of them. This game.....eeeh... It's not bad. But...it's not great. If you loved Gears of War, then I'm betting you'll like this one a lot as well. Unfortunately, it just sort of feels like a faster paced 3rd person shooter. Which I've never really been a fan of aside from RE4 which was action horror. But for 20 bucks. It's worth it. It simply didn't blow me out of the water as I expected it to.
Futuristic Mech TPS Action Game That's Worth A Look.

Summary: Think a mix of Crysis,Binary Domain and Spec Ops:The line and you'll have Vanquish a fast paced third person shooter with great graphics and characters that make the game extremely entertaining and addictive. The games effects dynamics and soundtrack are also reminiscent of many mech games too as are the unique abilities your character has in the game due to his high tech suit.
Great addition to your PS3 sci-fi shooter collection

Summary: Your character is a cocky young guy in a robosuit - Check. Your mentor on the battlefield is a big old crusty dude with a humongous bionic arm - Check. Your handler is a genius, as well as gorgeous and flirty and her hair blows around attractively as she's giving you instructions from inside the control room - Check. Looks like a rogue Russian who resembles Pinhead is behind all the mayhem - Check.
Fast! Intense! Change the dialog to Japanese..and you got a good game!

Summary: Platinum is a developer that has made some pretty good games... and they did really well with Vanquish. It's fast.. 3rd person shooter based in the future... and you'll see from other reviews...generally everyone loves it! Not much else to add.. if you're looking for a good game this is one of them!
Summary: No one knows how to make an action game like Platinum. It's got the over-the-top thrill of Platinum's best games combined with a wonderful array of weapons and layouts to allow for extreme creativity in how to take down the baddies. The boost and slow-mo abilities allow for some insanely awesome and creative moves but maintain fluidity in gameplay, adding a wrinkle to the genre that no one has been able to add before.
Summary: Truly one of the most underappreciated games of the last generation. The fast-paced combat is unique and while the game is shorter than I would've liked, this also helps it to remain interesting and not drag on.
Summary: Entertaining third person shooter. It seems almost outdated to me & less realistic than I'm used to. Sort of like playing in an older action Saturday morning cartoon if that makes any sense. Can't call it a story, more like less than stellar, corny sci fi episodes w/ fun shooting interaction which is what saves the game from being a disaster. Something is missing for me but don't let that discourage u from trying.
