Summary: Valkyria Chronicles is one of the best RPGs I've played this gen.Valkyria Chronicles combines turn based strategy, real time stategy,3rd person shooter and RPG elements together. Story:- The story in VC is set in a fictional version of Europe in 1935.A tiny nation named Gallia is invaded by the Imperial Army. The story can be quite emotional as you'll see fleeing civilians getting shot and other story elements that are quite emotional/heart breaking. The story has some big...
Summary: Over the years, my interest in RPG's had started to wane to the point where I ignored some of them simply due to the time investment. While they're great games and all, they take so long to finish and with a busy gaming schedule this year, it's hard to sink another 40 hours into one game when you could've beat 3 others and had a raucously good time on their multiplayers.
Summary: I've had a PS3 since launch date, and yes, I was one of those idiots who waited outside for hours to get one. Having played a ton of what the PS3 had to offer, I can say without a doubt that Valykyria Chronicles is a game you must own and play. Definitely one of my favorite games on the system by far.
Summary: I've been wanting this game for a while since it first came out but never picked it up. After reading a lot of great reviews and getting hearing good things from friends who had it, I finally decided to pick it up. I love the art style of the game. It constantly looks like a a drawing coming to life as you play and helps lend a very unique look to the game.
Summary: One of the most original and beautiful RPG games for the PS3. The presentation, and story sequences are outstanding, also the story is decent enough. If you like anime-style design this game is for you. Plenty of interesting characters that make you care for their story. The pacing is a bit slow, so for those that love more action I recommend they rent the game before buying.
Summary: Valkyria Chronicles may have the best gameplay from any RPG that I've played. It's mainly strategic but then there's also that 3rd person shooter aspect that was brilliantly incorporated into the game. Trust me when I say that it's unique and there's never been another game like it. As for the story, it has a good one...it's something that both a teenager and an adult can relate to. The music is awesome...I never got tired of listening to it while in battle.
I don't even like strategy games, I love Valkyria Chronicles though!

Summary: Valkyria Chronicles is really the only strategy game I can relate to. I always loved the brain over the battle oriented games, but I never could stand them.. they all felt boring and not a single bit rewarding. If you love strategy games, or even like them with a spray down of FPS and RPG gameplay-- you'll love this game. Pros- Simple and epic story, it's easily over 50 hours. It can be very challenging as well.
Summary: This game was a great experience all around. The story line is good based around a WWII's feel with ideology and a love story in the background. The graphics were whimsical is the best way I could described it, but smooth and just great to look at. Game play was also great, it's a strategy rpg so prepare for some turn based combat with a mix of skill tree based upgrades. All around a great game, a definite buy in my book.
Summary: One of the oddest games to describe I've ever played. One part real-time strategy, one part turn based strategy, and rpg elements throughout. Oh, and completely amazing. I've just about beaten the game and I've said 3 times now... "this has got to be the end". The length of the game is satisfying, without dragging on. Definitely got my money's worth and I'm looking to borrow a friends PSP to play the sequel. The story has a strong anime feel to it, and is mostly light...
