Summary: A wonderful 3rd person tactical turn-based RTS shooter that was - and still is - grossly underrated although it has a small but devoted fanbase. The followings are my general impression of the game: WHAT THE GAME DOES NOT DO SO WELL: - Designed to Grind: This is, by far, my strongest criticism.
Summary: One of the most overrated games I've played. It is not bad, but it's not very good either. There is certain appeal in it's simplistic presentation, but the game-play is far from well thought-out and can be very slow and tedious. The story is light and cut-scenes are watchable, though.
Summary: Amazing game, never thought it was this good even though back then it was only for PS3 which kinda sucks. always wanted this game since few years ago. Port was done pretty well, the game has pretty simple setting so there is not much issues with the port.
Summary: Too Long; Didn't Read (TL;DR) is at the bottom. To start, Valkyria Chronicles (I will refer to it as VC) was released in North America on November 4th, 2008 for the Sony PlayStation 3. VC had two more sequels released in the following years of 2010 and 2011.
Summary: Finally!! Never got to playing this game before today (not a PS3 owner :'( ), but loved every moment of the second game in the series on my PSP. While Valkyria Chronicles apparently brings nothing new content-wise (so I've been told) with the PC port, all the DLC's, brilliant anime visuals and...
Summary: One of my favorite game from the PS3 era. Props to SEGA for bringing this classic game to PC with great port. Pros: - Included all DLCs. - Japanese and English audio. - Full controller support (xinput). - High frame rate (up to 120 fps). - 4k support.
Summary: A great port, I can't stress it enough, this port is functional and shows that SEGA are committed to delivering quality PC products. The game itself has been meticulously reviewed over the years, so I won't be adding any more logs to that fire, I'll just mention my only gripe with the port.
Summary: The combat is amazing, the squad managing and upgrading system is everything I ever asked in a such kind of game, and the soundtrack is great. This is the best tactical RPG that I have ever played. Highly recommended.
