Uncharted: Drake's Fortune - Nate's somewhat unimpressive first outing.

luquillo, epinions.com

  • Summary: If you enjoy shooters and adventure games then give this a rental at the very least.
  • Pros: Visuals, voice acting, some other nice elements
  • Cons: Combat engine is the biggest issue

  • Summary: This is a great game for the PS3! I was loving it until it became more of a shooting game. I like the adventure and story-line of the game but don't like getting shot at! My husband loves it!!

  • Summary: The game itself isn't too bad. It fits in with the teen category and is good for a teen gamer. We were disappointed in the selection in the bundle we purchased so this game wasn't really a wanted item to begin with.

  • Summary: I got this mostly for the controller. Too easy to walk through this game in my opinion. NIce graphics but sone bad mapping and textures close to walls and transitions.

Great price on bundle!

  • Summary: Pros: Sixaxis Dual shock 3 controller and Drake's Fortune game for the price of a controller alone. Controller also a Bluetooth device. Cons: No controller charging cable came in the bundle. All in all a really good deal. I also purchased a PS3 250 G console, controller bundle which came with my choice of 1 game ( I chose Gran Turismo ) and 2 Blu-Ray movies for the regular list price of $349.

If ever there was an overrated game...

NJD, Amazon
17 January 2010
  • Summary: If ever there was an overrated game, this is it. Reading about this game, I got the impression that it was an action-adventure game. And it certainly dresses itself up as that. A friend of mine described the game as a combination of Indiana Jones and Tomb Raider. And seeing the ads and the reviews, you'd THINK that's what this game is. Unfortunately it falls very short of being the epic adventure game it pretends to be.

  • Summary: I enjoy adventure games, which I why I purchased Drake's Fortune. I like finding the treasures (although I don't know what good they are yet, since I haven't finished the game yet), and the jumping, climbing, and puzzle-solving (though scarce) is fun. I normally enjoy a couple of battles here and there, too, to give the game some variety. But there's just too much of them.

A weak third person shooter disguised as an action-adventure

sporkdude "sporkdude", Amazon
20 December 2008
  • Summary: I can imagine the meeting - "We have this great adventure game - gorgeous environments, fun action, interesting little puzzles, but it's only 4 hours long, what do we do?". "I know- let's add waves and waves of enemies to make it last 12 hours! We won't advertise it, we won't show it in the commercials, and we'll make the AI dirt easy so we don't have to waste time developing it." That's what they did.

  • Summary: It was ok, I like the second one better though. I always run out of ammo, and there a more enemys than they needed and there a lot better than uncharted 2
