Reviews and Problems with Uncharted: Drake's Fortune

Summary: Very repetitive gameplay, at least in the first third of the game. The same looking goons algorithmically pop up out of nowhere from the exact same places, and run/fire at you once you cross into next zone. You see the same barechested chunky guy always with the shotgun and maybe 2-3 other types. Once you clear the assault, move to the next area, and repeat. No boss fights, no unique strategy to beat a stage. So called puzzles are trivial.
Summary: I'm glad I bought it for the controller and the game was supposed to be great also. Even with all of the hype I did not like the game. If it wasn't for the ridiculous jumps that have to be executed perfectly at certain points it would have been fun but that just made it frustruating and reminded me of Tomb Raider (which I actually liked more). I made it halfway through the game and then gave up on it. But I'm still using the controller and it works fine.
Excerpt: "Uncharted: Drakes Fortune was developed by Naughty Dog, and published by Sony in 2007. This game is the first of it's series, and definitely not the best. Pros: Not many, good premise I suppose
Cons: Boring, repetitive . Some actions don't make sense
Summary: When I bought this game, I was hoping for a decent mix of puzzles, exploration, and enough action to maintain the pace of the plot. Unfortunately, puzzles are few and far between, and when there are puzzles, they simply didn't feel especially thought through. Instead, most of the game seems to be running from/killing pirates (of which there seem to be about 4 character designs, suggesting either a profound lack of effort on Naughty Dog's part, or an unmentioned clone...
