Summary: If you want to play the UEFA 2008 tournament on PS3, you have to get this, it's fun but not much different gameplay than EA's FIFA 2009 (yes it's closer to 2009, not 2008) Some fun bonus material is included, like replaying parts of past big Euro cup games where you have to win in the dying minutes for example.
Summary: My favorite Fifa game was world cup 2006 and until this game came out I did not enjoy most other soccer games. Great game play, very reaisitic ball skills, etc. My only complaint is the difficulty levels. Mainly from Semi-Pro to Pro there is an extreme jump in difficulty. I literally just beat Sweden (playing as Spain) 16-0 on Semi-Pro and then in most matches will be lucky to tie against Sweden or any other decent teams in Pro. Overall good game though!
Summary: I had very high expectations for this game. I remember that first fifa world cup that came out in 2002 and it was an excellent game. Therefore I assumed I would pass on FIFA 08 and get the EURO cup version. At first I thought it was a pretty good game (all FIFA games are good in their own respect), however shortly after the EURO cup people stopped playing the game; making the online play seemingly non-existent.
Conclusion: Having put all the control options to manual, this plays a great flowing and dynamic game of football. A lot of variations in the types of goals you can score with build up play is a necessity, unlike fifa's of old. Obviously with the tournament having been and gone this game is probably past it's best, but a good sign for fifa 09 nonetheless!
Summary: This is another title in the series from EA, I like the graphics and the controls are easy to use. There's a learning curve, but the more you play this title the more you want to go back and challenge it. the commentary lags the action and needs some tweaking. Close up graphics are better than competitors but can also still use some improvement.
Summary: Probably they still use the same Engine as in Fifa 2008 but it's easy to score goal with compare to FIFA 2008. I also observed some changes in free kick in which you can kick the ball in a curved fashion, without the ball being kicked over the wall (side curved). Changes were made in penalty as well, the way it looks. Unlike previous FIFA version, penalty looks side view and looks like an actual match.
UEFA Euro 2008 (PS3): Can you rewrite the history books?
27 March 2009
Summary: With my country Scotland, not playing in another major football tournament, i was wondering if this game would be worth me buying. However with being a football game addict I knew i would buy it eventually and right enough i did. Brilliant decision by me. Graphics visually stunning, and very enjoyable with staidums looking amazing and players looking realistic with good strips.
Pros: Great game mode, where you create yourself and lift the trophy.
Very good and improvement on Fifa 08 but still slowdown

Conclusion: Ok...I will start by saying this is the best football game on the market for the PS3 by far. They have improved the fluidity in the game play since 08 and also the passing is more accurate. I actually find it a little harder to score long range shots but volleys and spectacular goals are more regular. I like the ability to choose your own celebration but after a while you will just skip through these. I really wish they would add some nice touches.
Conclusion: Best footie game I have played and more realisted than Pro Evo as in tournaments. Only complaint is that every game I play the oposing goalkeeper gets man of the match. Even Paul Robinson!!
