Summary: Turok is, to be brutally honest, a slightly below average, run of the mill, cliche driven FPS. When compared to its predecessor such as the original Turok, it seemed the developer decided to not incorporate what made the earlier games great and instead injected it with what made games such as Halo and Gears of War good. As soon as you start the game you find yourself as "space marine" Joseph Turok on a jungle planet with dinosaurs.
Summary: This game is not bad for the price, I got mine for about $15. This is the price you pay for buying a very cheap game, you get a n64 graphics package with a average game play experience. It is fun at times, yet you run into very quick difficult parts of a level every now and then. This are especial difficult for no reason just poor level design or poor game design in general.
Summary: I waited awhile for this game to available to rent figuring it would be great. I was a bit disappointed. The graphics seemed to dark with not enought contrast. It's either green or shadows - making it kinda hard on the eyes. I played it for a few hours and then gave up and probably won't play it again and definitely won't buy it. Biggest complaint? The save points suck!! You work and work to fight your way through, you get almost there and then get killed.
Summary: Im a huge Turok fan. I was 11 when I saw the first commercial for the original Turok and my mouth was to the floor. Needless to say Turok was something I grew up playing. I even played the Gameboy versions and loved them.Ive seen great game, Turok and Turok 2, Ive seen ok, Turok 3, and Ive also seen horrible..Rage Wars.So where does this new Turok rank? Unfortuantly at horrible.
Summary: I've only played the first few levels, but I am struggling to see how anyone can give this game 5 stars....the problem is I have just finished playing Uncharted DF, resistance 2, TR underworld and GT5 prologue before this game....all of which have way superior graphics.....to be honest in the next gen console era, there is really no excuse for producing a game like this which could have easily been done on the PS2....
Summary: You can see that this game has blatently nicked some things from Epic, (the character Slade looks a lot like a typical unreal tournament character). Secondly it's not actually that fun. I played the first couple of levels and it was rubbish.
Summary: a big dissapointment! my friend tyler recomended it too me so i went out and bought it.i put it on as soon as i got home... "what the hell!" it's not very good! A BIG WARNING: graphics are alright.Gameplay quite hard to follow and absolutly rubbish characters!
Excerpt: I rented Turok for the PS3 to play, I am glad I rented the game first before I actually went out to buy it, as you will find out from my review the reason why. I have never played any of the Turok series before and actually never knew there was a series till I researched it. I only knew from the ads that this was a shooting game with dinosaurs and that's exactly all it is.
Summary: First thing I want to say is that i've never felt so strongly about a game that i've had to write a review. Secondly, i dont just moan about games that are not 100% perfect. I've got Kane & Lynch and Stranglehold, both not great games but there ok. Turok on the other hand is awfull. Without a doubt the worst game i've played so far on the PS3. Lets start with the graphics.
