Summary: Let me just say, I played the original Splinter Cell and Conviction before this. They were both sooooo much better than this rubbish. Seriously, how do they expect you to find your way around in this game? The 3D maps are useless, and there is no way of telling where you are meant to be going, not even which direction. Stealth is a challenge, I get that. It was that way in the original; but PLEASE.
Summary: I love splinter cell, but this game added these mazes I couldnt finish, couldnt find the end, of course they were timed, got to this one thing where I had to decrypt e mails, really confusing, nobody at gamefaqs had help available, so I quit. Dont recommend, my opinion!
Summary: The Splinter Cell series reached it's peak during chaos theory, the level where you rob that bank, since that point the series has been in decline with a tried and tested formula that was getting stale but double agent was the last in the series not to hold your hand all the way through, using one button techniques for taking enemies down from the opposite side of the room.
Summary: A very good Splinter Cell game but I do not consider it the best in the series. It's a game that has plays well but it does have problems with the "alignment", there are times where it feels unnecessary. You will die or get lost a lot so be prepared and patient with the game compared with the newer entries.
Summary: This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. As the others have said, the game for PC is extremely buggy, because it's a horrible port from Xbox. From my experience of playing it (since I'm a pretty big Splinter Cell fan) I've made a list of the bugs/glitches. Some of the ragdolls spaz out so ridiculously that they can actually cause damage to you by slapping you with one of their limbs.
Summary: Pros:Sam,places, musics, characters, endings, multiple choises! cons:not really! This is the best splinter cell game in the world there is no mistake the story is amazing and fantastic, fisher is different finally...multiple choises is fantastic,JBA HQ is pretty great this whole double agent things is something new.different endings finally.Sam fisher looking is great...plus the gameplay is like the old SC games.
Summary: I know this is a review on a very old game but I just want to weigh in seeing as how Blaclist is about to come out. I can remember playing the very first Splinter Cell on my ps2 and I thought it was outstanding. Ubisoft has lost some of that magic they had on the 1st game when they came out with Chaos Theory and Pandora Tommorow but they got it back with the creation of Double Agent. Its a great game.
Summary: This was a great game. As soon as I played it, I fell in love with it. The objectives are easy to understand and there are certain points in which tensions are very high and you must make the right decision. I personally loved the fact that you had to complete objectives from both sides, which most of the time clash with each other. I've never gotten one of the bad endings, as I always make the right choices in this game.
Summary: This is a shoddy game. Gone is any sense of humor. Gone is the decent PC control scheme I usually have no issues with most ports provided you can rebind the keys and the rebinding on this is so bad and so limited that its pointless to have. The story is luke warm at best and having to do the SAME MAP for FOUR mssions? You must be kidding me. The gun play is awful and hit detection is not good.
Summary: This game has great visuals and very intense stealth gameplay. I'd recommend it for anyone who is into the stealth genre and I'd also recommend it to people who enjoy either James Bond type games or military games. This game also has elements of RPG weaved into it to make the single player replayable.
