Summary: The game is very easy even on elite difficulty. The Advanced dog-fighting mode is almost useless and disorienting to fight in its only real use is to avoid incoming missiles, but then its clumsy to engage and disengage. There is also virtually no options on controller setup. Planes even in elite mode carry an insane amount of pay load. on the plus side planes are in a target rich environment. If your looking for an arcade game to blow up stuff this would be fine.
Summary: I recent went on a quest to find jet flight sims (or as purists might say "arcade" flight games) for the PS3. I noticed that the PC reviews get clumped into the same batch of reviews but to be clear this is PS3. I have purchased HAWX, HAWX2 and Top Gun Hard Lock and looked at the reviews for the latest ACE combat for PS3. I also purchased (from Amazon) the Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X Flight Stick.
Summary: Disappointing is a good way to describe it. The graphics is excellent, but other than that the doesn't deliver the same level that other tom clancy games do. Many aircraft models look accurate, but don't behave like their real life counterparts. The most obvious when standing the plane on knife edge and upside down, the plane maintains level flight, completely inaccurate.
Summary: I anxiously looked forward to this game, expecting potentially the first realistic combat simulator for the PS3. What I got was another arcade game with limited flight controls, poor external view capabilities, and unrealistic scenarios. I have come to the conclusion that for some reason, PCs will always rule in flight simulators. Nothing exciting about this one.
Uh...it's an Arcade Flight Game, not a sim people.

Summary: What did I just play? Yeah its fun, but its extremely rough around the edges. The demo mission was of better quality than the actual mission (video of people talking didn't match up), most of the time the audio says "target missed" even tho I nailed it. You destroy the SAM site at the same time as convoy aircraft enter the zone, but its a mission failed because they entered the zone.
Summary: I just tried out the Hawx demo. The graphics are pretty decent, but wow, I was disappointed in the game play. It may seem a bit more realistic compared to warhawk, but the controls feel awkward and terrible. The camera angle for the "non safety" mode is awful. It makes it zoom out way too far and takes away the whole "flight simulation" experience. It feels more like the game 1942 at some times in this mode. I just feel like I have no control over the plane in this mode.
Summary: At first this air-combat game by Ubisoft held a lot of potential,i enjoyed playing it.Then i found that i was'nt up against ordainary aircraft,it was ridiculous to watch the enemy craft zoom about like U.F.O.'s.It was impossible. Then my plane(s) when entering cloud, turned into blue lines shaped liked a plane. The graphics are rubbish, the game looks like it was thrown together over night.!!!
Summary: I was expecting great things when this game came out. Sadly, it looks and feels like another installment in the PS2 Ace Combat series. Not much wrong with that except that we know the PS3 is capable of so much more...
Summary: I feel the game was good . there was a lot of detail to the planes. I felt more could have been done to the way the planes were flown as every plane in real life did not fly the same. also the take off's and landings should have been there.
Flight Sim Fans stay away !!! Good Graphics but bad physics.

Conclusion: Being a Tom Clancy Fan of books and Games.......Don't Look here for Realism, pre-ordered this tat before it came out and paid top dollar....defies aviation physics and no similar numbered bearing heading compass. The first flying game i have played with out it... you get audio instructions to go to a bearing of 242 but all you have is an ordinary North, South compass... if they had allowed the ability to switch to flight sim mode, i would have been happy.
