Good game...Could use some improvements
26 June 2010
Summary: When I got this game, I couldn't wait to play it! Me and my brother like to play games together so the split screen option was a plus. One thing I didnt get about split screen was that you can only do 1st person veiw and in the campaign and online play, you can play in 3rd person. In split screen and online, you cant take cover like in the campaign... Which kind of sucks... The campaign is fun, challenging, and dosent really need improvements.
Summary: GRAW 2: The most fun shooter of the year (2007); better than COD 4, better than UT3, and better than Halo 3; So what's with the low rating? Well, let me explain. Now let's start with the singleplayer. Very fun, very strategic, very action-y, great cover system, and the most AMAZING explosion effects ever (at least of 2008 and before.) Sadly the great explosions are the most noteworthy part of the graphics.
Summary: While the Ghost Recon series has traditionally emphasized tactics over sheer firepower (hence, the 'Recon' title), this game, and its predecessor Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter , have put technology above everything else. You never really outsmart the enemy, just out-compute him. Drones, gun cameras, HUDs; it's all here, and it all helps you to keep from getting too lost (having too much fun) in the game.
Summary: GRAW 2 is a FPS with a high degree of combat realism. The graphics look good for the most part. This game, like other Tom Clancy games, focuses more on combat realism than on action. You must take cover, just as you would in real life if you were in such gunfights. There is small margin for error. One or two hits and you are toast. Forget about healing from behind cover as you can in Resistance, Rainbow Six: Vegas, and other modern shooters.
Rainbow Six is excellent, but Ghost Recon has to be downloaded to play!

Summary: The disc only has Rainbow Six installed on it. After completing it, I tried Ghost Recon only to be required to wait about six hours to download all 8GB of it on my PS3, hence the 3 stars. So, a heads up to people who think they can play two games from this directly from the disc - you can't. Having said that, Rainbow Six is an excellent game to play as co-operative, with a nice range of weapons and different ways to plan your attack.
Summary: Just much the same as any other shooter. I had to look at the screenshots of the product to remember it before I wrote this review. The story is ok and the gameplay reasonably challenging but not much different from any other military shooter. I am so fed up with this genre.
Summary: If you're new to the gaming scene and want a fun game (and cheap game) to learn the trade with, this game is a good starting point. Although the single player mode is enjoyable FPS have evolved into a multiplayer online experience. This unfortunately is where this game is let down. It is not that the online mode is not enjoyable, it is. The problem lies that there are far superior games.
