Time Crisis 4 + Guncon 3 Controller

  • Excerpt: Summary Introduction Unboxing / Accessories Guncon 3 Calibration Note to Reader Review Conclusion Areas of Improvement Summary [6.5 out of 10] Time Crisis 4 can be a blast; a lot like having one of the arcade machines in your house. No wireless and lack of 2nd controller combined with the $90 price point was a disappointment. UPDATE : It seems Amazon.com actually carries this game for $75 with free shipping, which negates my problems with the $90 price point.

  • Conclusion: Unfortunately, this is not the game I had hoped it would be. I had visions of a multiplayer shooter that I would be able to share with my buddies. That's not the case. In fact, I'll be placing my copy of Time Crisis 4 and Guncon 3 controllers on Ebay to make room for my ever expanding game library. If you liked the previous versions of Time Crisis for the PS2, then you'll probably love this game.

Time Crisis 4

GameTrailers

  • Excerpt: At one point in time, Time Crisis was the crème de la crème of arcade light gun games. Its slick, time-based objectives, multiple boss encounters, and duck-and-cover mechanisms were unheard of their time. And for a while the series enjoyed its reign as the undisputed arcade champ. But oh how things change. In Time Crisis 4, the U.S. military has hatched its next defense plot--about a billion of them, in fact--in the form of biological weapons dubbed “terror bites.

  • Excerpt: Game which use a peripheral such as a gun and I go way back. I threw endless quarters into Operation Wolf and then into Police Trainer at the arcades over the years and even now, I have a tough time passing a light gun game without at least looking. I have played Time Crisis 4 in the arcades very recently, and getting to play it at home without needing to hit the ATM anytime I thought sounded like an awesome idea.

  • Excerpt: Time Crisis is one of Namco's oldest franchises, dating back over a decade in age it came about shortly after Sega's light-gun shooter Virtua Cop, and three years after Konami's Lethal Enforcers. Time Crisis would become the most well known of the light-gun shooters, and Namco didn't limit the appeal of gun games to simply shooters, as the GunCon controller also received three Point Blank games - an amusement park-esque game with tons of shooting galleries to partake in,...

Time Crisis 4 Review

GamerNode

  • Excerpt: Let me start off with this: if you love the past Time Crisis titles, you’ll probably enjoy this game just as much. It really does nothing too different from the Time Crisis formula (other than add a horrible first-person mode which I’ll get to later), and allows you to play a lightgun game without lugging out your older consoles. That being said, if you don’t absolutely love the Time Crisis franchise, you’ll probably find little worth in this $90 game.
