Excerpt: Time Crisis 4 is the next installment in the rail shooter series that has always been a staple in arcades. Not only does this game come with a brand new Guncon model specifically designed for the PS3 (though I wish it were wireless), but it also has an FPS mode for the first time in the series. But first, the graphics. Visually, the game is pretty nice.

Conclusion: Unfortunately, this is not the game I had hoped it would be. I had visions of a multiplayer shooter that I would be able to share with my buddies. That's not the case. In fact, I'll be placing my copy of Time Crisis 4 and Guncon 3 controllers on Ebay to make room for my ever expanding game library. If you liked the previous versions of Time Crisis for the PS2, then you'll probably love this game.
Excerpt: Summary Introduction Unboxing / Accessories Guncon 3 Calibration Note to Reader Review Conclusion Areas of Improvement Summary [6.5 out of 10] Time Crisis 4 can be a blast; a lot like having one of the arcade machines in your house. No wireless and lack of 2nd controller combined with the $90 price point was a disappointment. UPDATE : It seems Amazon.com actually carries this game for $75 with free shipping, which negates my problems with the $90 price point.
Excerpt: There’s something infatuating about light gun shooters that we can’t quite put our finger on. Despite housing an obviously thin gameplay experience, many gamers can’t help but feel allured to the novelty of recreating that perfect arcade sensation in the comfort of their own homes. But in the age of the Wii – where every shooter is a light gun shooter of sorts – what chance does a traditional light gun package have at staking a claim in a cut-throat market?
Summary: Time Crisis 4 is reborn, and includes a full FPS game mode, stunning HD quality graphics and a newly designed Guncon to enhance every aspect of the game. Superior to its arcade counterpart, Time Crisis 4 brings a fresh new look to launch the series into the next generation.
Excerpt: While most publishers have shied away from light gun games over the last few years, Namco Bandai has just kept 'em coming. The 2008 offering is Time Crisis 4, the title's PS3 debut in the on-rails arcade shooter series. So... guess what... You'll never get it, so we're just going to tell you. The world needs saving! To help out, players can get involved as either Giorgio Bruno or Evan Bernard, members of the V.S.S.E., a global world-saving outfit.
Excerpt: The Time Crisis series has come along way. When I first heard the fourth iteration was coming to the next gen consoles, I was excited. This would be the first lightgun game of the next generation , and I was interested to see how Namco Bandai would make it work. As many of you know, older lightgun games don't work, or don't work well at all, on flat screen TVs.
