Summary: There are a lot of things to love about this game, but it's the same stuff that's good about any Tiger Woods game so I won't bore you with it. However, there's one massive problem and I can't believe no one has mentioned it. I assume they're just playing random rounds and not in career mode, which is where the problems are the worst. This is the only game I've ever played where you're punished for doing winning.
Summary: For a game that's been long in the series this is without doubt the worst golf game I've ever seen for the PS3. The amount of slowdown is unbelievable that it takes almost all the fun out of it, when you hit the ball with the 3 button process there's a tremendous amount of lag almost every single time that completely screws up your shots & accuracy suddenly becomes irrelevant, sometimes its just pure luck that you did hit the ball onto the fairway and not the bunker.
Summary: I'm not going so say much that hasn't already been said in many other reviews of this game. The graphics are good but definitely not great. The features are pretty good and varied so there's plenty to do to keep things interesting, but no massive improvements on previous versions. My main gripe (hence 3 stars instead of 4) is that there are too many glitches and/or things which are far from perfection. For example, the photo game face feature doesn't work on my game.
Summary: Although this is a fun game to play there were one or two things that disappointed me. Firstly was the dificultly level when on normal settings. I'm of course aware the level can be changed but to win a tournament by more than 20 strokes on my first play just isn't right! It's very easy to shape your shots and I pine for the controls of some earlier versions when you used to uces the left stick to shape shots, a real skill!
Conclusion: I played the title on the Xbox360 and I was impressed. I liked the new attribute system. It's not perfect but it's much better than the previous versions. The club feedback is also a welcome addition.
Summary: Once again EA have delivered a very realistic yet fun golf sim game with new added features, however, I can't help but feel that once again it comes up short of what it could be. I played (and reviews) TW08 when I bought that and befoe I played this I rented and tried...and decided not to buy on that basis. The game itself is very good and fans of the franchise will still be able to pick up and play and newcomers will have coaching in the game to get them up to speed.
