Summary: The Game Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08, is an average game from a gamers view. But that being said it still offers realistic physics and some what graphics too. I am playing this game and finding that some of the scenes in the game are very repetitive. i am no game tester but i pay attention to details on games. If you are looking for an affordable golf game and dont really care if it is the current years PGA tour, then i would suggest this game!
Summary: Gabe and Tycho said it best. It sucks that you have to play hundreds of hours to make computer Tiger Woods like Tiger Woods. You have to unlock everything before the game becomes any fun at all. I dont have the time or the patience to commit to that kind of time when I should be working on my REAL LIFE GOLF SWING!!! When I buy a golf video game I shouldnt have to work harder than I do in real life at golf. In real life I can hit 300yd drives.
Summary: Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 is a fair game. The graphics are very nice on the PS3 (especially with HD cables) and the gameplay is very simulation-like. As a veteran of Mario Golf and Hot Shots Golf (Everybody's Golf, in Japan) I am more or less used to the 3 button push shot type, in which you press X once to start the swing, again to chose power, and again to decide accuracy.
Summary: Have been playing Tiger Woods Golf for years. This year was such a disappointment from the play aspect. My husband and I played together, being a guest on each others careers. The only way to play together is the play now option. This makes it a singular effort to complete your career matches. It seems to me all ps3 games are more geared to playing online instead of playing with friends. Why do we have to loose that aspect just to get better graphics?
Summary: We should probably stop supporting EA's yearly release schedule. At least with TW they added new courses instead of just new players (which seems hardly a big incentive to me). But, if it weren't for the red shirted Tiger on the front I could have sworn this was TW2007.5 instead of an actually game. They could have just sold it for 20 bucks for add on courses and that would have been honest business at least. The PS3 version is terribly slow.
Summary: This is the first and last time I buy a golfing game for my brother, the graphics is average. The controls may take an 20 minutes to an 1/2 hour to learn the basics of how to putt perfectly. Overall the game is not for me to play because you will need some patience and lots of pratice to play the game.
Summary: The Tiger Woods PGA Tour series of games are my favorite video games ever. I have owned every game since TW2002 and loved every single one of them. I usually end up buying the newest version a few months after its release because I'm still working on beating the last one! I bought 2008 and I'm going to go back to 2007. Simply put, this game is just too hard.
It's Tiger and its the best golfing game availiable

Summary: Tiger Woods 2008 brings a few new features and updates, but not much has changed from 2007. The graphics are improved slightly from last year and it runs pretty smooth. The controls are still not as tight from earlier versions of Tiger Woods, especially starting out with a new created golfer, it's a test of patience and a lot of frustration. The putting, though, has gotten better with the new ideal putting feature.
Summary: The Good: More courses and golfers than last year; Game face is a lot of fun, when it works; New draw and fade mechanic works well; The Bad: Analog swing is too touchy; Many features don't work well, if at all; Doesn't play as well as last year The Tiger Woods series has long stood atop the charts as the best-selling golf franchise year in and year out.
