Conclusion: MotorStorm RC doesn't appear to be related to MotorStorm, not at first anyway. Dig a bit deeper and you'll eventually discover Evolution's signature talent at pushing the player closer and closer to perfection. Frustration induced by goofy physics is a bummer, but somewhat mended through the novel asynchronous play and the oh-so-sweet instant crossover with the (currently free) Vita version.
Excerpt: MotorStorm RC is my favourite Vita game. It's also the cheapest game currently available for the handheld. Those two points don't sound like they make sense together, but Evolution has really pulled a rabbit out of the hat with this pint-sized gem. In a portable gaming marketplace dominated by iPhones and the App Store, this is exactly the kind of digital-download title Sony should be releasing.
Excerpt: As another of the big name franchises appearing on both the PS3 and Xbox 360, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 faces more scrutiny than the rest of the PS3’s launch lineup. Proponents of both systems will no doubt compare every single pixel in order to “prove” that their system is better. Tiger Woods 07 is identical to the 360 version. There are a few visual tweaks, mostly with textures, but you’re getting the same visuals either way.
Excerpt: If any game series needed a next-gen revamp it's Tiger Woods PGA Tour. The current-gen versions have been rather unspectacular for the past few years, feeling more like EA phoned in the final games rather than create something new. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 on the PlayStation 3 (and Xbox 360) is a solid step in the right direction, offering the most challenging gameplay Tiger's seen in years.
Excerpt: The world's most famous golfer arrives on the PlayStation 3 with Tiger Woods 2007 which once again revolutionizes the world of gaming golf. With a new and improved control system and of course next-generation console graphics, Tiger Woods 2007 is definitely the most definitive golfing game on the market at the moment.
Excerpt: has been going strong for quite some time now. It's no surprise that we see another installment right around the launch of the PS3, as the 2001 Tiger was released in the first month of the PS2's existence. The franchise focuses on realism and breathtaking course visuals to immerse the player in a faithful recreation of hitting the links.
Excerpt: has been one of the rare universally kick-ass outings for EA's Redwood Shores development house for a few years now, which is all the more impressive given that it's been moving more toward realism in little notches in the last couple years. represents perhaps the strongest push toward trying to replicate most of the stuff seen in real-life golf matches without them being, y'know, giant snooze-fests.
