Buggy but fun if you get it on the cheap and a LotR fan.

Summary: This game could have been really good if it was supported well by the developers and had some of its major issues addressed by a patch, the game has some very faulty and ruining glitches to it (i.e look into the Mirkwood glitch for more details).
Summary: I love this game. I wish it was a bit more "open world" though. The big problem is the famous glitch that everyone speaks about. You get to a point where you can't progress through the game anymore...and you can't even start anew with the progress you've made on your characters. Huge fail.
Summary: I thought this game was really fun but I got caught by the game ending glitch. if they ever decide to patch it I will up my stars. Research the glitches in this game before you play and you might make it through the whole game. I still have yet to start a new game out of frustration.
Summary: A lot of people have been commenting on how buggy this game is. Sadly, I was not spared the glitches. I was about just about the play the final chapter of the game when I got stuck between two checkpoints in Norinbad, and unable to advance any further. Very angry about this.
Summary: Beautiful graphics, great storyline and a lot of fun! Yes, the game has glitches and bugs! My first time playing LotR: WitN, I got stuck in the Mirkwood. The game didn't provide me with the staff to progress to the next mission. I was extremely disappointed because the game is really remarkable.
Summary: LotR has been host to a myriad of bad games recently, while War in the North is an example of a LotR game done right, but in it's alpha version. It is a co-op action RPG. That said, it should be obvious that as far as RPG elements go, it has limited skill trees where skill points basically...
Summary: I was playing this game with a friend in co-op mode over a weekend and we were really enjoying the story, battles, and graphics - right up to the point where we were defending the fortress and had to face 2 trolls.
Summary: Decent game, but they could have done so much more with it. It had potential, for them to expand the story. More impact in choices would have been more interesting (like Dragon Age style) or something like that and more character interaction.
Summary: I was really looking forward to this game. But the gameplay is just too similar to previous LOTR action adventure kinda games. I was really hoping for a truly epic story driven RPG set in the LOTR world, but this just doesn't meet it's potential, nowhere near. The gameplay is rather boring.
Summary: I am a huge Tolkien / Lord of the Rings fan so when I stumbled across War in the North I just had to have it. Despite some annoying gameplay bugs and Co-Op bugs I do not regret my purchase one bit, but what could of been a decent 4 star titles sadly gets knocked down to 3 stars.
